You see, baby Journey was nothing short of a miracle baby; her parents had tried for so long to welcome her into their lives—an incredible 10 years! Such a long wait filled with hope, longing, and perseverance. It is truly an honor for me to capture the essence of this sweet girl and the journey her family has embarked on together.
Every time a family walks into my studio, I feel a rush of excitement, but there’s something exceptionally heartwarming about sessions like Journey’s. The emotion in the air is palpable, a collective sense of gratitude and happiness that permeates the room. As a photographer, one of the things that brings me the most joy is witnessing the sheer delight and excitement of parents meeting their newborn for the first time. Sweet Journey came into the world with an absolutely beautiful head of hair—an awe-inspiring trait that I can’t help but adore! The planning for Baby Journey’s newborn photos, as with all our sessions, began with a simple and important step: parents sharing their color preferences. Communication is key, and I always encourage families to express their vision for the shoot! When I learned that baby’s name was Journey, the inspiration struck—there was no way we could pass up the opportunity to incorporate a travel-themed set. After all, her name itself embodies the essence of adventure, exploration, and discovery, and I knew we had to weave that theme into her photos.
Creating a travel-themed set opened up a world of creative possibilities.
