Some friendships leave an everlasting mark on your heart, and every now and then, life has a way of bringing those connections full circle. This is exactly what happened when I had the incredible honor of capturing moments for baby Lincoln and his amazing family.

The Beginning of a Special Bond

Let me introduce you to Lincoln, a sweet little boy who holds such a special place in my heart—not only because of his adorable charm but also because of the deep connection I share with his mom. She wasn’t just any friend; she was my first best friend during one of the most significant transitions of my life.

Years ago, I left my home state of Georgia for my first out-of-state living experience in California. It was a big move, filled with excitement, nerves, and a whole lot of uncertainty. But then I met her. From the moment we clicked, she became my rock in a new and unfamiliar place. She was there for me during so many milestones, including most of my first pregnancy, offering unwavering support and friendship through it all.

When my time in California came to an end and we moved away, I missed her immensely. But life has a funny way of working its magic.

Reunited Through Life's Journey

Fast forward to today, and it feels like a dream to say that we’re neighbors once again—or at least close enough to visit often! When her family’s duty station changed to Tennessee, I was overjoyed to find out that we’d be living near each other once more. It’s rare to reconnect with friends in such a meaningful way, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

Not long after, I received the amazing news: they were preparing to welcome their second child, a sweet little boy named Lincoln. My heart was bursting with excitement for them. Knowing how much love and joy their family radiates, I couldn’t wait to capture these precious moments for them.

Meeting Lincoln

When the day finally came to photograph Lincoln, I couldn’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come—not just in our friendship, but in life. Watching her become a mother of two filled me with pride and gratitude.

Lincoln, true to his name, is nothing short of strong and sweet. With his tiny hands, soft curls, and that undeniable newborn glow, he was a dream to photograph. He settled into every pose as if he knew just how special these photos would be. It was as if time stood still, allowing me to soak in the beauty of the moment.
