A Special Journey: Meeting Sweet Caleb

Some sessions carry a deeper connection, a story that brings everything full circle. That’s exactly how I felt when I finally got to meet sweet Caleb. Our journey together started long before he was born—he just didn’t know it yet!

A Bond Between Moms

Caleb’s mom and I share a unique bond, one that began long before this little boy made his entrance into the world. Last year, we were both dance moms, cheering on our children from the sidelines and navigating the whirlwind that comes with that busy, joyful lifestyle.

Little did we know that we’d also share a completely different kind of journey: difficult pregnancies. Caleb’s mom had her hands full growing this sweet boy, and I couldn’t help but relate to her struggles because I had been there myself with my son, Nolan. We commiserated, supported each other, and shared laughs (and maybe a few tears) along the way.

Knowing all that she went through made finally meeting Caleb that much more special. He was the light at the end of a tough road, and let me tell you—he was worth every moment.

A Special Addition

Caleb isn’t just any baby; he’s the first boy out of four children in his family. Can you imagine the excitement? His arrival marked a new chapter for his family, especially for his dad, who had been patiently waiting for a son.

As I spent time with Caleb during his session, it was clear that he was already such a blessing. He has the calmest, sweetest demeanor—like he knows he’s the long-awaited addition that everyone has been dreaming about.

One of the things I loved most about Caleb’s session was incorporating touches that celebrated his family’s excitement. His dad, a passionate baseball fan, is over the moon about finally having a son to share his love of the sport with. I can already imagine the two of them playing catch in the backyard, cheering for their favorite team, and creating lifelong memories together.
