Oh My Sweet Sophie: A Beautiful Newborn Session
Oh my Sophie! This sweet girl is part of a family that holds a special place in my husband’s heart, and I couldn’t wait to meet her. As the first girl out of three sweet children, Sophie’s arrival was met with so much love and excitement. From the moment I heard about her, I just knew she would be an angel—and she truly was. For this precious girl, white was the perfect color to complement her innocence and pure beauty. It brought out her delicate features and created a timeless feel that I know her family will cherish forever.
One of my favorite parts of the process is the planning that goes into each session. I believe every detail should reflect the family’s vision and style, making each session as unique as the little one being celebrated. To ensure this, I send out a detailed questionnaire to parents beforehand. This allows them to select the colors and themes that resonate most with them and their sweet little love. Sophie’s parents chose a classic and minimalistic approach, focusing on soft whites and neutrals that perfectly highlighted her natural beauty.
When Sophie arrived at the studio, she was an absolute dream. Calm, serene, and oh-so-sweet, she made every pose look effortless. Her tiny hands, button nose, and that little wisp of hair—every detail was pure perfection. It’s always such a joy to see a baby’s personality shine through during their session, and Sophie’s gentle and peaceful demeanor made the entire experience magical.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of this session was seeing Sophie’s family interact with her. As the first girl in the family, she has two protective older brothers who are absolutely smitten with her. The love and adoration in their eyes were so genuine and pure, and capturing those moments was truly special. Watching a family welcome their newest member with so much affection and joy is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
For Sophie’s setups, we kept things clean and simple, using soft blankets, delicate wraps, and just a touch of texture to create depth. The all-white theme brought a sense of purity and elegance to every shot. My favorite image from the session features Sophie nestled in a cozy white wrap, her tiny fingers peeking out and her face perfectly serene. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love capturing newborns—there’s something so profound about freezing these fleeting moments in time.

Oh Sweet Jude! This little guy stole my heart during his newborn session, and I can tell he has stolen his parents’ hearts as well.
Not only has his sweet personality truly grown, but I think those sweet blue eyes have grown as well! He’s turning into such a charming little guy, and I cannot wait to continue watching him grow. I know he’s going to break a ton of hearts with that adorable smile and those captivating eyes!
