Baby Madison- Savannah Newborn Photos
Spartanburg Newborn Photography

I was so excited when this sweet family reached out to me. They are from North Carolina and came down to South Carolina for me, when they saw a family friend’s images. No pressure!

All jokes aside, I feel so blessed anytime that I am given the opportunity to photo for any family. Miss Madison was the perfect princess during her session, and whats even better is that as a princess she has her very on protector already (a big brother). You see, Madison’s big brother is also known as HULK! For his love of the Hulk, whom he brought to his baby sisters’s photo session. He was so excited to see have her moment in front of the camera, and because he was so sweet and patience during the process we took a few photos of his Hulk, because Hulk for life.

I cannot wait to see this sweet girl grow and of course see what she learns for her sweet big brother.

During Baby Madison’s session her mom expressed a love for the pinks and teals, which matched Madison’s daintiness and beautiful complexion to a T!

Check out the small preview from her session below.

We were so excited to meet Sweet Kinely. During Kinely’s moms maternity session, we had an in depth conversation about her newborn session. I was so excited when her mom mentioned yellow and sunflowers. This sweet mom was so excited about having a girl after two boys. I just knew that this sweet girl would be perfect.

Kinely was just as perfect as I thought that she would be. We got to use sunflowers as well as a lot of yellow. This session turned out sweeter than I thought that it would. When her family arrived, you could be see the love gush from them all and Kinely just seemed so relaxed as she just soaked up all of the love.

Our experience was so amazing and I could’ve kept this sweet girl in studio. She was probably one of the best newborns that I have had in studio since I got here. I feel so blessed that her sweet family was referred to us from a family friend.

Cassidy's First Birthday- Cake Smash Photos
Greenville Cake Smash

Sweet Cassidy is such a special little lady to me. You see, Cassidy was one of the first newborns that I got to follow through my first year in Greenville, Sc. I was so excited to spending time with this sweet girl and to get to watch her bloom on the last year.

I met sweet Cassidy through a model call I posted. I honestly just wanted to take pictures of a baby girl in a new prop that my husband bought for me while I was out of town. As soon as Cassidy’s mom reached out to me, I knew that Cassidy would be prefect. She stole my heart with her cheeks and hair as a newborn, and her smile and personality as a one year old!! During her newborn session, this sweet little love was so easy to work with. She let me pose her anyway that I needed, which is not always the case with newborns. They often have a mind of their own. I was in high hopes that she would be as easy to work with as a toddler and she was! It was an answered blessing.

During our planning for this session, Cassidy’s mom told me that the theme of the first birthday party was “up, up, and away”. It is so fitting, as the time flies by so quickly with children and before you know it the year is up up and away. They grow so quickly and it tears me apart to watch this sweet little loves grow so quickly. I see their little features shortly after they are born and then I get to watch them grow into their personality. During this session, I learned that this sweet girl is one of the lucky ones. During her first 6months of life, she got to stay at home with her mother, and during her next 6months, she got to stay at home with her father. it was amazing to see the bond that she has with both of her parents.

This sweet girl was so happy and loved her smash cake so much during her one year birthday session. I feel so blessed that I got to capture it! Check it out below!!!

Baby Luca- Newborn Session
Greenville Newborn Photos

Words cannot describe how sweet this sweet baby was to me during our newborn session. When they reached out to me, after our first conversation I knew that it was a relationship that was meant to be.

Luca is so very loved by his mother, father, and sweet big brother. I feel so lucky that I was able to capture this sweet little fellow. Luca means bringer of light, and it is the perfect name for this little fellow as he is definitely the bringer of light for this family. His big brother just smiled so big anytime he was near baby, and he was so excited when it was his turn to take photos with his sweet baby.

His sweet family just relocated to my little area in Reidville, South Carolina, so I am in high hopes that I get to see this sweet family again.

Savannah’s Beautiful Newborn Photos

Spartanburg Newborn

O my Savannah, how sweet is this precious little princess! I felt so blessed from the moment that I saw those sweet cheeks walk through my door! Words can never explain how amazing it makes me feel to see these beautiful babies come through my door and for me to have the opportunity to capture this special time in their life. Miss Savannah was just as sweet as she was beautiful. Her sweet mama came to me after seeing her friend’s newborn images. I knew from the moment this mom told me that she worked with Spartanburg Regional.

I have had so many amazing clients from Spartanburg Regional and not only do they always have the sweetest baby. They have the cutest! Okay, okay. All of the babies that I get are cute.

When planning Baby Savannah’s newborn session, her mom told me about the importance of all things pink, so pink it is! Baby Savannah is also a rainbow baby so I wanted to make sure that we added subtle remainders of that throughout the session. I am so proud of the flow of this session, and mom brought in the perfect personalized cap to add to the session. The best part of the cap is that mom just so happened to order it from one of my favorite prop vendors, Mac N Bean. So, if you are looking for a personalized cap, Mac N Bean is your place to shop.

Sweet Savannah allowed me to set her up in almost any position that I wanted. Check her out below:

With my sessions, the planning is always half the fun. I send over a questionnaire, which allows parents to select the colors that they feel is best for their sweet little love@

This sweet set of twins is a carbon copy of their parents. They hold quiet the story too! This sweet family prayed and tried so hard for these sweet babies for so long, and instead of one, they were blessed with two. One of each, a sweet girl and a sweet boy. They were the cuddlest babies! I was so happy to have them in the studio!

Ryan and Emma were so calm and so relaxed, which in doubt they get from their sweet parents. They were the best! I cannot wait to watch what this sweet family accomplishes.

A Mountain of Love: Capturing Maternity Magic

I was in absolute heaven during this sweet session, guys! There's something incredibly special about photographing families during their most heartwarming moments, and this particular session was no exception. The lovely family I had the pleasure of working with had just relocated from Florida to the upstate, bringing with them a sense of excitement and adventure. They were thrilled to embrace the mountains as their new backdrop, and as a photographer, I couldn’t have been happier—the mountains offer such a majestic setting compared to the familiar beach!

Now, I have to say, I never thought I could tire of the beach. After all, the sun, the waves, and those sandy toes are enchanting in their own right. But spending this delightful day with a family who was eager to swap out their seaside views for mountain vistas opened my eyes to the wonders of nature beyond the coastline. The mountains provide a stunning grandeur that invokes feelings of tranquility and awe, a beautiful contrast to the relaxed vibe of the beach.

As we explored the lush landscapes, the beauty of the mountains enveloped us. Towering peaks, vibrant greenery, and breathtaking vistas served as the perfect canvas for capturing the family's joy and anticipation as they prepared to welcome their second boy. The natural light filtered through the trees, creating a soft glow that highlighted the love radiating from each family member. Their genuine smiles and laughter echoed through the stunning scenery, making the entire experience one to cherish.

In those moments, I couldn’t help but reflect on how different the beauty of the mountains is compared to the unique charm of places like Savannah, Georgia. Savannah, with its historic streets, sprawling oak trees, and enchanting garden squares, offers a magic of its own. The Spanish moss hanging gracefully from the branches creates a romantic and timeless atmosphere that is simply captivating. A maternity session in Savannah is like stepping into a painted portrait, full of history and charm.

While the mountains boast a raw, rugged beauty that inspires a sense of adventure and awe, Savannah’s allure lies in its elegance and grace. Each location offers its own type of magic, making it a joy to capture maternity photos in both places. Whether it's the wild spirit of the mountains or the charming sophistication of Savannah, each session provides a unique context for celebrating the journey of motherhood.

Back to my sweet family, they were filled with anticipation, looking forward to the arrival of their new little boy. The love and excitement they shared were palpable, making every shot a heartfelt reminder of what family truly means. I cannot wait to meet their new addition and capture more sweet moments in the future!

Have a look at this wonderful family’s maternity session below! Each photo reflects the beauty of their journey, the change of scenery, and the excitement of welcoming a new little one. From the majestic mountains to the timeless beauty of Savannah, these settings create the perfect backdrop for capturing the essence of love, family, and anticipation. It’s moments like these that remind us of the beauty of life and the incredible stories that are unfolding in each family’s journey.

Halloween PennyWise Newborn

Penny Wise Newborn Photography Session

IMG_2507.jpg

A few months ago, I was sitting in my living room thinking about ways to gain attention when all of a sudden, a commercial for It Chapter Two appeared, and it hit me like a ton of bricks! That’s my Halloween session!!!

With it fresh on my mind. I immediately contacted a newborn prop vendor, Pitter Pat Creations based out of North Georgia that I used in the past. Her quality is UNMATCHED and the way that she designs her sets are spectacular. Together with the help of her children, who knew all about PennyWise, we settled on a full PennyWise set. I knew that the hair and makeup were crucial for bringing my vision to life. So, Pitter Pat Creations put me in contact with her fellow prop creator, Off My Hooks. Off My Hooks specializes in felted creations like the bonnet used for the PennyWise.

Now, anyone who knows me knows, I do not watch horror films. In fact, they scare me to the core and I cannot sleep for weeks. Zombies, nope. Murders, nope. Blood, nope. Luckily for me, my good friend, Heather, is a Halloween and horror film lover! She immediately helped me brain storm. We talked about making a drain for an in the studio set. (Grand ideas… you know, because you can do anything you set your mind too) Another good friend, Rita, suggested taking the baby outdoors to an actual drain. None of those ideas truly spoke to me.

A few weeks after beginning the brainstorming process, I could not get Georgie or the SS Georgia out of my head, so I decided to run with those as my inspiration. I knew that I wanted to incorporate both. Off to Amazon I went. I ordered velvet fabric and a yellow raincoat. This is the image that I had so ingrained in my head that I just had to get it out.

2019-10-27_0003.jpg

It was more than I could have asked for. My dear sweet friend, Heather, that I mentioned earlier, stepped in to lend a helped hand on the day of the session. She made the balloon possible and she is my Georgie.

During the post process, I decided creatively that I needed to make our sweet model as realistic as possible, so I went to blending our felted bonnet into the baby and reshaping the baby’s head to give the image the appeal that spoke to the image that I had in my head.

Now, where there is Georgie, there is the SS Georgie. I wanted my husband to make me the SS Georgie, but safety is always first with newborn photography. So we decided to proceed with a composited image.

Composites honestly are not my favorite, but let’s face it a baby in a paper boat just isn’t going to happen. First, I posted the baby on the velvet got the image that I needed. Then we captured our handmade SS Georgie on the velvet. Once those were captured, the post-process began. Editing baby was the first step, followed by composting baby, and the final step was flooding the image for the effect that I needed as “we all float down here'“.

2019-10-27_0002.jpg

Of course in true newborn fashion, our little model got a little fussy, so I decided to give him a good wrapping. The “potato” pose is one of my favorites, and with Pitter Pat’s versatile design I was able to use pieces of the PennyWise Costume to bring the pose to life.

2019-10-27_0001.jpg

Now, looking at that image and not knowing the posing technique, it can look a little strange, but please note that baby is wrapping in multiple layers, wearing a special belt designed for this pose, and sitting on a ring designed for this pose. Baby also has a spotter. BUT… Potatoe PennyWise was born!

The last pose is the Froggy, which is never a true image baby is always supported whether in a costume or not.

Oh Brinlee!!! Purple, purple and purple! This little love is going to love the color purple especially if her mom has anything to do with it.

Purple, like yellow, is a color that I do not get to use often, so I am excited when I get the chance. During this session, I found out that mom includes purple in all of the large life events for their family. Purple was included in their wedding. Purple was included in their older daughters newborn images, and now Sweet Brinlee has purple as well. I have to admit that this color does suit their family.

**A Burst of Sunshine: Capturing Sweet Skylyn in Yellow**

Sweet Skylyn! Y’all will not believe how excited I am to share the details of this delightful session! From the moment I saw her name on my calendar, I felt a rush of anticipation. Each newborn or child I meet brings a unique energy, and my session with Skylyn was no exception. What made this session particularly special was the vibrant color I rarely get to use—yellow!

Yellow has always held a special place in my heart. It radiates positivity, warmth, and happiness, much like the joy that children bring into our lives. So, when Skylyn’s parents included it on their questionnaire, I was thrilled! Honestly, I could hardly contain my excitement. I could already visualize how beautiful she would look in that bright, cheerful color, and I knew that it would perfectly complement her sweet personality.

When I met Sweet Skylyn for the first time, it was clear that she was indeed meant to shine in yellow. With her beautiful little cheeks, which were just begging to be pinched, and the most adorable features that melted my heart, capturing her on camera felt effortless. As a photographer, moments like these are what I live for—the chance to freeze time and encapsulate the essence of a child as they embark on their life’s journey.

During our session, I adorned Skylyn in soft yellow fabrics that beautifully framed her sweet face, emphasizing her lovely complexion. The sunlight filtering into my studio created a stunning halo effect around her, enhancing the warmth of the yellow tones. I always strive to create a space where children can feel comfortable and loved, and this setup did just that. Skylyn instantly seemed to shine, her personality blooming effortlessly in front of the camera.

As we moved through different setups, I couldn’t get enough of her charming expressions. Each shot captured not only her beauty but also the joyful spirit inherent in every child. There is something magical about being able to document a moment in time when a child is so pure and full of potential. I found myself amazed by how each little smile and gleeful gesture reflected the love and delight that envelops her family.

One of the highlights of the session was when Skylyn gave an adorable little giggle—a sound that echoed in my heart. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of photography; they capture not just faces but the emotions and stories behind them. I was deeply honored to document Sweet Skylyn’s first moments and witness the joy radiating from her parents as they beamed at their little girl.

Throughout the session, yellow flowed through our imagery, weaving a vibrant tale of happiness and hope. It was as if sweet Skylyn was born to embody this color. I was filled with overwhelming gratitude for the opportunity to create a series of stunning photographs, capturing not only her beauty but also the essence of joy, love, and the promise of new beginnings that yellow represents.

As the session came to an end, I couldn’t help but reflect on the wonderful memories we were creating together. Every click of the camera preserved not just an image, but a chapter in Sweet Skylyn’s life. In years to come, these photos will serve as a beautiful reminder of her early days, filled with the warmth and laughter of her family.

I’m thrilled to share some previews from this joyful session with Sweet Skylyn below. Each image is a testament to her sweetness, beauty, and the vibrant energy that yellow brings to life. These photographs will surely be cherished by her family as they look back on this precious time.

Thank you to Skylyn’s family for allowing me to capture your little sunshine. It was a true joy to photograph Sweet Skylyn and to witness the love that surrounds her. I can’t wait to see how she grows and flourishes, and I hope to continue documenting her journey in the years to come. Here’s to sweet moments, joyful colors, and the magic of childhood—may they fill our lives with light and love!
